The pinworm kit contains, a piece of adhesive tape which is used to stick firmly around the skin of the anus of the horse, pony, donkey or mule being tested.  Once removed, the tape gets put into a sample bag, then returned to our laboratory in the pre-paid envelope/ box provided. Full instructions about how to take an effective sample will be enclosed with the kit.
 
Pinworm are more active during the night, therefore doing the tape test as early as possible in the morning will be the most effective time. 
 
Our lab will then examine the tape under a microscope and the findings will be emailed.
